It's Over, Now To The Fishing!

Hate to be that way, but you do what you HAVE to, then what you WANT to. The boat sure needs cleaning, the cover probably could go to the carwash as well, but until the snow and ice stop it will be as it is.

Hope everybody got what they wanted and needed for Christmas. I know that there are never too many lures and rods under the tree. This year it was warm clothes and the necessities, so they say. The catalogs are still next to my chair so I can make the list I DIDN'T get this year. Maybe for New Year's - Valentine's Day is also coming up - do you think it would be crass for an anniversary gift to be the new Flippin' Stick? And how about Easter for the new spinner bait box? If I could just hint, but not be too pushy?
The tackle boxes are all cleaned out, and the reels have been cleaned and oiled to perfection, and the next pretty day - look out - there I go. I have noticed that since the years are adding upthe pretty days have to be prettier than they used to. Used to be that ANY day that there was not too much ice on the road was a perfect day to fish. Now it has to be 60 degrees and sunny. Age is just a matter of years, they tell me!
There is a hot water lake not far from here, heated by an electric generator system. The fish stay active all winter, so it looks pretty good for a trip when the roads are clear. Hope I can find somebody to go with me, nobody ever believes fish stories unless they are verified. Of course, can you trust TWO fishermen more than you can trust ONE when it comes to those longwinded fish tales? YOU must be the judge of THAT!!!
